2019 Bucks and BBQ Judges

If you want to taste some of the best BBQ ever, you can sign up to be a volunteer judge at “TTHA’s Bucks and BBQ Cook-Off” by emailing jenn@ttha.com
We will need quite a few judges so you are welcome to share this information with your family and friends.
BBQ Teams will arrive Friday and start cooking late Friday night. On Saturday each category has a specific “Turn-In Times” to be eligible for the completion. Judging will take place on Saturday March 2nd, 2019 starting around 10:00 am and going until 4:00 pm.
All judges will sign up for 1 to 2 categories of their choice AT THE EVENT ON SATURDAY. We will do our best to provide you with the opportunity to judge the category/meat of your preference, however we cannot guarantee anything. Judges must be 18 or older.
Judges must be in the Judging Room (end of the Vendor Mall) at the National Shooting Complex on Saturday, March 2nd at least 30 minutes prior to turn-in times. Please see turn-in times listed below.
We highly recommend that you do NOT sign up for two consecutive categories (i.e.: Ribs and Brisket or Chicken and Ribs).
 

Turn-In Times

  • Jackpot Beans – 10:00 a.m.
  • Wild Game / Open – 11:00 a.m.
  • 2 Chicken Halves – 12:00 p.m.
  • Pork Spare Ribs – 1:30 p.m.
  • Beef Brisket – 3:30 p.m.
The National Shooting Complex is located at 5931 Roft Road, off of Culebra Rd (FM 471) and outside Loop 1604, on the North West side of San Antonio. We hope to see you at the event!
